Sunday Afternoon

While curtis and stinky napped today, diesel and i took a bike ride to the park.. he said on his way that we were going to meet his new friends. he introduced me today to one of his new friends as tanya, so i looked like that nanny, which is fine, thats what everyone expects anyway down here...people wait to have kids i guess till they are 30 usually so i look like the babysitter (i have gotten that a lot down here)...so are you the nanny or... these arent yours are they. anyway, diesel just told me i am pissing him off, hes been sayin that lately, i dont know what to think about it, i guess he is just being honest but he needs to clean it up a little, which means i need to clean it up a little!

Sneak...

The other night diesel snuck out of his room and tried to come downstairs to get in our bed. i was still awake on the couch and curtis had already gone to bed. i heard him comin down and said diesel get back in your bed. i didnt hear anything and kinda forgot about him... when i got up to go to bed i figured he must have made it to the bed and i missed him, hes pretty quiet when he wants to be to sneak to places...anyway, this is where i found him, asleep
i went in to get a close up of his face and i guess he didnt like the flash, so he turned away and went back to sleeping how he did when he was a baby-TANYA (just to clarify, i put him back in bed right after i took these pictures)

diesel said to me out of the blue the other day "mommy your my friend." he said it to curtis today too but it made my day when he said it to me. he likes his dad a lot now and when i discipline he always asks for dad, so i like when he says stuff like that. sometimes he asks me for a hug and a kiss, i dont know if thats pretty normal for a boy his age but is sure is cute! i swear diesel pushes curtis just to see how much he will do for him.. ever day he makes him carry him in from the car to the gym, he doesnt ask me cuz he knows i wont, i take detroit in and he walks in with his own two feet. he also gets real picky with food.. he asks for peanut butter toast, so curtis makes him toast and puts peanut butter on it and then he points to the normal butter, makes him start over! he knows the difference, he does it on purpose, and i just watch as curtis falls for it. when i put diesel to bed and curtis isnt home, it takes less than 5 mins. if curtis is home to put him in bed it takes a few times and ends up taking an hour. i put diesels drinks in any cup, when curtis fills em, diesel will make him go back and transfer the drink into his specific car sippy cup. the list goes on...

Still the Weekend

Our weekends are sunday monday, instead of saturday sunday...kind of nice cuz we dont have to fight crowds on monday, saturdays just turn into a weekday, but that fine, its too busy everywhere on saturday anyway! so, today..well yesterday now cuz i am up late, anyway, curtis took us to a motorcycle/four wheeler dealership, thinking it was a good idea. you see, diesel has been talking about going to buy a motorcycle this week, i guess he is just copying daddy, i dont really know why he keeps wanting to go get a motorcycle. curtis gets on these little motorcycle kicks where he thinks hes gonna go buy a motorcycle, he started one earlier last week. he got life insurance finally a few days ago, which was one of my requirements for ever owning a motorcycle (cuz i know the death stats), so now hes on one of those kicks again. anyway...so diesel has been saying throughout the days lately.. "we're gonna go buy a motorcyle go on a ride" and curtis has been smiling about it looking at me. i tell him no we arent diesel, you have a bike right here that does just fine.. so we are driving today and he says it in the car and i tell him no we arent and curtis says to me quietly we are and then diesel shouts from the back WE ARE. we get to the dealership and the boys faces light all up and they start climbin on all the 4 wheelers and motorcycles (im sure the stores people just loved us) and they were just loving being there with all these toys. diesel told me to get on this pink wheeler right by him, said it was girly. (he always tells me im a girly) so its time to go and diesel had just found this 4 wheeler outside that was his perfect size (so cute..3 grand!) and he wont get off it. so i left him on it and went around the corner and spyed on him, poor guy sat on it for 5 minutes trying to figure out how to get it to start, got off and pushed the thing..it just wasnt gonna start. so he finally got off and followed where we had went and i acted like i was just walking to the car still. he followed me back to the car and when curtis got out to put him in he started freaking out. crying about how we were supposed to go on a motorcycle ride.. he cried until we found a place to eat, he kept saying we go on a motorcycle ride as he was crying. so i dont know, maybe curtis learned a little lesson about egging him on to get him on his side? hopefully, i feel bad for him... actually i did feel bad for him, right now im still a little upset with him. he was being a punk later at the mall, we had a nice little scene that we made at the escalator cuz he wanted to keep pushing detroits stroller while we got on the escalator to go down it, dangerous...no diesel, he didnt understand and it was a huge upset in his world. he threw a fit and fell asleep crying on the way home. he had a rough day! me too i better go to bed.

Some new sentences..

Detroits tryin to say airplane and i want some... his first word was snowman, hes not into starting out slow like one syllable words, he just wants to jump right to the hard stuff?! actually he really likes saying raar like a lion. i just got off the phone with carley, she is coming out here just booked her flight woohoo...anyway detroit has the phone and he still thinks she is on, she said its done i booked it yyeeahhh and he said yeeahh back into the phone, i dont know if she was listening but then he lifted up his shirt and put the phone on his belly and started jabbering at her...she just now hung up and he is still talking to her! diesel and detroit were being pretty annoying the whole time i was on the phone with her (trying to find cheap short flights). its like they know when i get on the phone that they are supposed to start fighting and banging spoons on dishes, and pulling on my pants for drinks, and destroying the place. i dont get it. i just got off and now they are being angels, whats up with that! anyway i wanted to get on here kind of like a journal entry and make sure i jot down some funny sentences that diesel has started to say. hes been watching meet the robinsons over and over (he finds a new cartoon and watches about 20 times in a row, then moves on to the next one i find and record, but only asks for one for about 2 weeks) anyway "meet the robinsons" he call "nerdboy" movien cuz the main character wears glasses and is into inventions. so hes been saying a few lines in real life that he got from this movie... when we go to te play room now he gets his t-ball stuff out and says "lets play baseball not the lazy game" the way he says lazy is so cute! he says it just randomly too, even when there is no baseball stuff around. and the movie of choice in the car that plays every morning on the way to the gym for the past 2 months is "Cars" (yes he doesnt want it switched he wants to watch it every time we get in the car) so when he plays and just when he is just sitting in his car seat, he says "cuchow cuchow." also, since he has been watching cars for a while and our charger has been in the shop for a while (the driver side window got shot out while we were gone, puting the car into theft protection mode, so it had to be towed to the dealership, gay) we just got it back a couple weeks ago and ever since we got it back... diesel has been saying "wow..thats a race car, daddy has a race car, i wanna ride in daddys race car. cooo....." sunday he came to curtis and said "um daddy, i need you to get me the keys, im gonna go drive the race car." oh and about a month ago, we all 4 were on a bike ride, diesel rides his own bike now by the way, hes getting too good on the thing... we are riding and he sees this guy in his driveway going into his garage and he shouts to him " hi im diesel, im goin on a bike ride (not shy)..and when we get to the slides he sees this boy to play with..(this should be an entry all on its own, its one of those moments you imagine happening, like your kids first steps or something, and then it happens and its so cool) anyway he meets this little boy and he says" hi im diesel, thats my mommy and my daddy right there" as he points to us. curtis just looked at me with a huge smile and said, you are just eating this up arent you, you love that. yeah he loved it too, so freakin cute. if i remember right we arent gonna be cool to him in like 10 years so im gonna eat it up while i can. anyway, what else what else,...last night diesel didnt really wanna go to bed but i put him in his bed, i came back to check on him and he was on the floor with his pillow and elephant blanket, that i have to strategically place over his pillow ever night to make an elephant pillow...well he had remade his elephant pillow on the floor and went into the playroom and got his car track rug, and was using that as his blanket.. wierd kid man. and right now detroit is in his highchair and the two are cracking up at eachother with spaghetti all over their faces playing peekaboo. .. anyway another funny thing diesel notices is the feelings that cars apparently have, when he sees a very old car, he says "mommy that cars sad" we went to go get the boat out of storage last weekend and diesel was lookin around at some rv's and boats... i asked him about what a few were... he told me that this long race boat that was a little old, it was scared, and this rv was what we should take next. i just wish i could get inside his little brain and see whats rollin around in there! hes also figured out the last couple nights that if he shits his pants he can get out of bed for a little longer.. thats awesome. but i think he is done with the nightmares, so thats good news. this was random, i need to write more often

What about detroit...

my dad asked me what detroit was doing the whole time in that last little insert... he is still doing the parallel play i guess, he just played by them with this pink ball he saw some lady holding, he went up to her and smiled with his arms out for the ball so she let him borrow it for most of the night..oh and there was a basketball court right by the slides, he went over there when this black dude came over with a basketball. he saw detroit and thought he would be nice and let him see his basketball. detroit immediately dropped the pink soccer ball and took the guy up on his offer, took the ball and started running in the other direction with it.. it was pretty comical. i sat back and watched for a second to see what the guy would do (he didnt know whos kid it was yet). he kinda followed him and was nicely asking for it back, yeah thats not gonna work dude, so i went over and had to steal it back for him. detroit was pretty pissed at me but i got his pink ball and put it in his hands and he got over it pretty quick! so hes just kind of in his own little world, usually with his bottle, a ball, or some kind of cracker or snack in one hand, or both...

At the Park

Diesel woke up from his nap today and said.. lets go on a bike ride and go find my friends. so we went on a bike ride and he went and found some friends. i took a couple pictures with my phone but i dont think they saved.. we rode to the park, the first kids he saw he jumped off his bike to go play with. they were all kind of busy (4 of em) cuz they already knew eachother and were playing tag. he said hey im diesel... but they were running everywhere. so i think he brainstormed a strategy, his mind..hmm i gotta find somthing to get their attention, somethin cool, cooler than what they are doing.... (end of his thinking) so he went to the water fountain to get a drink and found a lady bug on it. he yelled to the kids, hey ladybug look it, hey lookit, so one came over and said cool and they started playing with it. soon enough the other three were over all playing with this ladybug having a blast and it went on for like a half an hour. it might not sound cute but it just cracked me up. hes a funny kid. so then he was part of the group, they accepted him, and they kept playin til it got dark. oh, and he tried to stomp on the lady bug at one point and everyone yelled no...so now i think he might get the no stomping on live creatures thing, cuz i dont think he was gonna listen to me!

He was sitting in the lawn yesterday playin with a few shreads of grass, i was up on the trampoline with detroit... and he looks up and says, mom i wanna get a dog.....

Fort Worth Zoo

This is supposed to be the one of the top 5 zoos in the nation...I dont know, it was pretty cool. I dont know really what makes a zoo remarkable, they all seem pretty similar to me, I do remember the san diego zoo being pretty cool with a train ride or something..I may be confusing this memory with something else but I remember riding a train around seein all sorts of animals?! anyway, we went to the fort worth zoo last monday, we probably didnt see half of it cuz its huge but it was fun. the highlight was definitely this bird room they had. they had a ton of birds in this big outdoor netted room..tons of little birds. they sell sticks with bird feed on them and the birds come right up to the sticks and get on them and eat. its pretty cool for kids, I liked it too though. alright so diesel was loving it and figuring out that the birds liked the sticks for some reason... so he was getting em to land on his sticks and then he saw that he could pet em a little if he wanted. then he went on to try to grab and hold them. the birds didnt like this much and pretty soon none of the birds would come to his stick. he didnt get it and wasnt gonna give up so he started to jab his stick into groups of birds thinkin he could force them on? then he started to try to stop them with his feet? I told him to settle down and got him some new sticks cuz the food was gone on his and then took him to the other side of the cage where some new birds might not know what his plan was and might still come to his sticks. in the meantime I started showing detroit how it worked, he didnt get it for a couple minutes, he just keep trying to eat the bird food off the sticks...then all the sudden he just caught on and had 5 birds on his sticks in each hand and was walking real fast around the bridge in excitement and giggles! it was so cute i couldnt take enough pictures and get a good enough video! so all this is going on and birds are flying everywhere on my shoulders on my arms cuz I had a more new sticks for diesel and detroit in my hands I forgot about, so I had birds on me and on detroit and on my hand with the camera and I turn around and see diesel and he has a bird under his foot! I say diesel and he looks up like yeah! i caught one! with his eyes and mouth wide open, so i walk over and tell him he cant use his feet, but i dont wanna tramatize him cuz this bird looks hurt... so i help the bird get out, he was kinda wedged in between to pieces of wood of the bridge and he still just sits there on his side. diesel is all excited mommy lookit birdy i got it, grabbin at it.. im sayin diesel settle down leave him alone he looks a little sick, people are watching us... anyway 5 seconds later the birds eyes roll back into his head and close! diesel killed the poor thing! im not proud of this but i was torn between laughing and takin a picutre or running away and fleeing the scene... well not to worry curtis got like 3 pictures with his phone and I did take one real quick and then I went and told the zoo people that there was a sick/dead bird on the bridge. so we were done after that...we went on a train ride and then went home...the rest of the day diesel was saying, daddy I stomp on a bird, like this (and he shows you how with 3 stomps) so it turns out he really did kill the bird, I dont know if he knows what happened. I guess I need to have a talk with him, I didnt want to scar him though! again whaddo you do! anyway about the rest of the zoo...he talked about the tiger the whole time. wanted to go find the tiger so he could lick his boo boo and make it better. (he wanted a bandaid on the car ride to the zoo for his hurt finger? he always says somethings hurt, he just wants a bandaid he loves freakin bandaids. so on the ride over i told him that we would be at the zoo soon that I didnt have a bandaid for the last time and that the tiger would fix it.) lucky the tigers were asleep laying in the sun when we found them so i had an excuse for him why they wouldnt lick his finger? I gotta stop makin things up now I guess huh?! oh, there was a pretty cool gorilla there we ran into.. he put on a little show for diesel and detroit, he got right up to the glass and was breathing out his nose, fogging up the glass making funny faces, diesel and detroit were cracking up! i was too, he was a weird gorilla. oh and we got pulled over on the way to the zoo, got out of it, but the officer told us that there was a gorilla that escaped the dallas zoo 3 years ago and hurt a few people before they had to kill it, so i was glad this gorilla was behind some pretty thick glass, and he seemed pretty mellow! anyway ill get some pictures on here today and the videos of those birds soon! yes, thats the little yellow bird he sent to its death
im pretty sure this is when diesel stomped on the bird i think he is behind me in this picture and look, people just sat and watched?!he asked to go in there, i wanna go in with themto get these next 3 pictures i had to get in the cage with the Lions ("what are you in for..mmmaaann slaughter, i slaughter the man..rraarr" -brian reagan), it was a close call but well worth itthey loved the dip and dots...ha ha, look at detroits face, he went for that bite like 3 times! i made him wait so i could get a picture, i didnt know it was gonna look that funny though! this entry took me a while, i have a hard time picking my favorite pictures, guess ill be happy someday i took the time to put them all on here!

Uncle Scott, Jamison & Cali

Scotty, Jamison, and Cali came to visit us right after Grandpa and Grandma did, they actually overlapped a day which was nice for a little babysitting! I havent seen Diesel ever as excited to wake up and Detroit too... They would wake up and just start at work for a hard day of play. Not the usual wake up and come bug the crap out of us crawling around and kicking us in the stomache and face in our bed. It was a nice little break. Kids entertaining themselves is nice in the morning! Diesel talks about Jamison all the time now, he talks about him for a few days when we get back from going to seattle to visit them but he really hasnt stopped since they left. They got along really well and played non stop together. "I wanna go school with Jamison" "Lets go get Jamison" Jamison comin" "whered Cali go" "Cali Jamison dance too" I dont know if Cali really has much use for Diesel. They get along for the most part but she doesnt pay much attention to him.,. Diesel gets in her face a lot trying to talk, she might not like that, it probably can get kind of annoying. She may just not like Diesel stealing Jamisons attention away, i dont know. Maybe in a year or 2 they will get a long better, for now though, Diesel just follows Jamison everywhere and copies everything he does. Diesel says to Detroit now "no stinky, i had it first" he got that from jamison saying it to Cali... anyway, Detroit just enjoyed all the noise and action i think, tried to be part of it! So, we are sad they are gone and wish we lived closer to them, to all the cousins.

-While they were here Diesel and Jamison managed to get half of the toys in the play room onto the trampoline, Diesel decided to put all the balls down his pants for some reason...

-We told the kids it was bedtime soon so Diesel said he wanted to get his jamas on... Jamison and Cali said they wanted some and they had been wearing Diesels socks, jackets, hats...on the trip so they figured hed have some jamas they could fit into too i guess. (scott tried to pack light i guess, forgetting a few things!) anyway, diesel really enjoys getting dressed in different things and giving people things they need and making sure they have what they need like shoes on and jackets on to go outside, (hes kinda controlling) so he really enjoyed this part! he went in his room with them and got down his little jamas bin and started showing them what he had that they could wear for bed...i went in and helped to make sure jamison got the biggest thing diesel had but cali picked out batman by herself. man i wish i had a video of that room scene. it was so cute them all getting excited about putting jamas on! so they put em on and then got in our bed to watch a little dinasour king scooter (its called!) before bed, and then we did a little dancing that i gotta get on here later, i got it on video.-Can you see cali's face, i think she has less use for Detroit than she has for Diesel...he gets in the way when they are trying to watch their shows! she just wanted to get him out of the way, they all were getting mad at him, i was laughing pretty hard, he cant sit still and watch a cartoon yet, bouncin around is still too fun!

Grandma and Grandpa

Good old Ginger and Don came to visit a couple weeks ago.. they got here valentines night pretty late.. right after my diamond decided to fall out of my ring, yes on valentines day. sucks pretty bad. im just gonna get a cz to fill its place and we will probably never buy any diamonds ever again, we'll see. For now we are pretty turned off by them, understandably because we still havent found it! whatever though, whaddo you do, so grandma and grandpa came and took our minds away from it, kids loved seeing them! thank you guys for coming on your break, i know that flight hurt your back dad, but we hope youll do it again soon! i dont seem to have any pictures of when you were here so you guys need to email me some so i can put it right below this sentence! k...

Catch up...superbowl

Our friends came and stayed for the weekend and brought their 2 kids that are almost the exact same ages as our kids.,, ava is a month older than diesel and detroit is 3 months older than aiden. needless to say they had a blast! diesel found himself a new girlfriend which is nice to see cuz he had to say goodbye to his last one in utah a couple months ago, her name was logan, he acted the same way with her... hes a little more into wrestling than dancing now with girls, which is kinda funny and scary maybe for the parents of the girly! so we all had a great time superbowl weekend, especially the kids
