Detroit

Football

Curtis is sooo excited for football. when we moved here he made sure we got hooked up to direct tv just so that we could get nba and nfl passes to see all the games. so now football season has come and he got to see all the games that were going on last sunday, as he explains it his head was spinning, he didnt know what to do with himself. he tried to watch em all but it was hard cuz there were so many on at once. so he is in heaven on the weekends.. our friend ryan got us some box seat tickets from his friend to the byu vs osu game that was here at the dallas cowboys stadium... i had to take a picture to show the much talked about big screen, i mainly watched it the whole game cuz its hard not to.

Visit to Seattle

My camera loads pictures that are huge, I could shrink em or i could just wait for them to load, either way it takes forever, its faster to use the pix from my phone! anyway, i just wanted to get this picture on here cuz i think its halarious of Hannah, she has the cuttest little legs, look at em, there buff... so there is a lot more where this came from that i will load tomorrow for the fam to see!

Something...

I have been slacking lately. i got on and started reading some older posts...things that i have already forgotten about so i am really glad that i wrote them down! so i need to keep doing that or i will forget all these cute things my kids did growing up, and fun trips we took as a family thru the years! i really like this blog cuz there is no way i would write this stuff down in a journal, it takes way to long to write, typing is so much faster! plus i know my dad likes reading these! he hasnt bugged me lately though to update, so maybe he doesnt check anymore, ill have to remind him, and then get on here more! i guess i feel like i cant get on unless i have a picture to go with it, funner for other people to look at, but i wanna read what i had to say in the future!

anyway, diesel has a pretty full vocabulary now, hes almost 3 1/2 and detroit will be 2 next week, holy cow! what are we gonna get him. detroit is trying to talk a lot now, he jabbers away and i just agree with him. it is probably my favorite stage, when they think they are saying stuff, stories even, and they arent making any since, it is soo cute! still need to get rid of his scream though, detroit is pretty stubborn right now, he is in that stage where he knows what he wants but he doesnt know how to say it... so he makes you get up and follow him to it. then you say no when you realize what he wants (more candy usually) and he freaks out. and you say dont freak out detroit and you ve got diesel right by you saying...hey dont say that, dont say that word. you see diesel will not let us curse, i cant even say freak, i try to explain that freak out is not bad to say but he just puts it in the category with fu$# and freakin and so you cant say it around our house. so he knows all the curse words and corrects us when we try to use them. its funny, and detroit likes to mimic me, so when he gets real mad and wants to tell me off, he puts his hand in a fist and puts his pointer finger out, puts it right by his cheek and puckers his lips with a scowl on his face and starts jabberin real demanding like! i dont know where he came up with a couple details to the move cuz i dont put my hand by my face when i tell him off?! detroit also love playing pass and catch with balls, he is in the obbsessive ball stage that diesel went through, and they are both really into planes right now...point out everyone in the sky. when they wake up in the morning the first thing they want to do is go outside and look at planes together. but back to balls, detroit will just walk up to you and you dont even know hes there and boom, he drills you in the head with a ball, wanting you to catch it, and throw it back...curtis has woken up multiple mornings with a ball hitting him in the nose! they wake eachother up in the morning, diesel and detroit that is, which is kind of annoying, this is how they do it. whoever wakes up, slams their door as they are leaving the room, and if the other one hasnt woken up to the sound of the door slamming by the time they get to the top of the stairs, they go slam it again, until the other wakes up... this way they can claim it was accident i guess, cuz they have gotten in trouble for hovering over eachothers beds trying to get them to wake up... little punks. mornings start way too early for us here, especially considering that we usually are waking up once thru the night by one of them. i need to get detroit a night light i guess, curtis says he'll go up to his room cuz hes crying and he'll go in and detroit is crying in the corner or up against a wall cuz he cant find the door to come get us! its pitch black in his room cuz we blacked out their windows thinking it would help them sleep in a little longer (it helped, we probably get another hour now). anyway, kinda sad but kinda funny too! curtis feels bad for him and gets mad at me that i wont go buy him one.. i just keep forgetting, i dont know if it would do any good anyway, he ruined both of diesels so diesel just sleeps with his closet light on...hes pretty afraid of the dark, he thinks the monsters are gonna get him if no lights are on. anyway, detroit just woke up, here he comes

Lake

Curtis and Detroit went surfing together the other day, it was pretty cute...when they let go of the rope they went under for a second, i guess detroit started saying mommy when they came up, kind of confused and stunned!
